After his third MVP season, Ram Barrera earned immortal status with the creation of the first ever San Diego Red bobblehead. 

The Reds took part in the league's first (and still only) golf tourney in 2002.  Al McCoy won the long drive contest with a 363 yard hit and won the bat you see on the top of the schedule page.

Paul was the first on the team to rip up his knee.  (Coach Al was the second).  It happened in a bang bang play at first base.  Bang he ran into the huge first baseman, and bang he hit the ground.
